New Year's Eve with the ISO - a must for any audience!

Hi Everyone:

Sorry I have not written since the very successful premier of the Schwantner Concerto for Section Percussion, Timpani and Orchestra in November.  We are still hearing from audience members and musicians how exciting these performances were - thanks to all!

While visiting my 94 year old Mom in Toledo she asked about my next concert and I told her about our exciting New Year's Eve performance followed by my BAND playing 'all styles of music' in the lobby and our 'official countdown' to the new year.  By the way - I am really good at this 10,9.8, 7 etc. - plenty of experience - the Paul Berns Band played 12/31 for 10 years - top floor of the Columbia Club- at the Conrad Hotel, Union Station, numerous country clubs and the list goes on.  We will be playing Glenn Miller, Artie Shaw, 'Grapevine' (oops, rock n roll), Waltz Medleys, Duke Ellington, etc.  And so:  this wonderful evening is the perfect opportunity for our audiences to have just a marvelous time.  Happy Hour crowd you will LOVE this concert and Dance Kaleidoscope (world class dancers) - Symphony on the Prairie (leave your picnic basket at home and live it up downtown with the ISO) and so my sales pitch goes on and on.  I almost guarantee that this evening with the ISO (world class) and my band (hmmmmmmm) will help you start the year in such a way as to have something to talk about for months to come.

I do hope you will attend and say hello as I front my band afterwards.

Paul
