I bet you have a friend or relative who likes to forward funny emails. You know, the ones that say "Funniest Church Signs," "10 Things Never to Say to Women," (I can think of more than 10), "Priceless Wedding Invitation from Mother of the Groom," or "Awkward Family Photos."
Don't tell my mother-in-law (because she's the sender!), but I usually disregard or delete most of these emails; however, the Awkward Family Photos website is a must. I picked a few of my holiday-themed favorites below.
Why show you funny holiday photos? Because the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra needs YOUR funny, wacky and ridiculous HOLIDAY-THEMED family photos for a contest!
All you have to do is dig deep into your photo books (or your parents/grandparents/in-laws!) from any decade and email us your funniest, wackiest or most ridiculous family photograph from the holiday season. We will select 30 or so winners and display them during one of the musical selections for this year's Duke Energy Yuletide Celebration!
Remember - we want funny! Email your high-resolution digital image to yuletidephotos@IndianapolisSymphony.org. Please include your full name, address and phone number. The contest will end Oct. 31 and winners will be announced Nov. 9. If your photo is selected to be a part of the show, you will receive two complimentary tickets to any Yuletide performance (subject to availability).Now go and find the funny!
