What are the chances ...

I have just come from running a quick errand to FedEx, no makeup, hair up in a not cute pony tail, sweat pants and t-shirt.  As I run out the door, I think, "What are the chances I run into someone I know looking like this?  Mighty slim."  So I'm almost all clear when this very attractive woman says to me, "Violin in the ISO."  Not as a question, as a statement.  After acknowledging her and introducing myself, she tells me that she comes to the concerts and is a donor!  I express my gratitude and say to her, "Where would we be without people like you?!"  We have a brief conversation and then we both say, see you soon!

I am so grateful to all our patrons and donors and love to speak with them when I see them at the hall and around town!  I think I will continue trying to outrun time and gravity with makeup and hair products, but I'm also going to ignore the reality check that it's not really working!

One more thing, if you haven't already got your tickets to this year's Yuletide Celebration, try to get some!!  I think it's the best show ever!  Les and Dazzle put humor and amazement into magic, Mike Runyan (librarian and harmonica soloist extraordinaire!), Sandi Patti, Jack Everly, the Yuletide cast - all are just fabulous!  There is also a very nostalgic look at the 25 past Yuletide shows.  Hard to believe  it's been 25 years!  Don't miss this!

Happy holidays to you all!
