Passing on the Love

Wednesday, November 3, 2010 by Everyone's a Critic
When I was a young girl, my mom had a love for the symphony and would take me along with her as my dad would not go with her. It formed a love in my heart for beautiful music, amazing singers and dancers, and just the love for a special evening out and dressing up - something we just don't do anymore in our society of flip flops and jeans. So, when we started our family and moved from California to Indiana I looked for something to be able to share with our children. I found the Yuletide Celebration. It is everything and more than I had hoped for. Something extraordinary to make family memories that will last a lifetime. We have been coming when we can for about 15 years or so and always make it a dress up special Christmas occasion. We now have 4 children 2 of whom are adopted and all of them love going. We have also shared it with friends and family. I have even taken my small group of Junior High girls from church to give them a Christmas memory that they still talk about and now share with their families. I hope someday to be able to share it with our grandchildren. Life is full of ups and downs, but memories are something we can take with us through all of it. Christmas memories seem to have a special place in our hearts because they are usually made when we are with our families.
