MEMORIES

My memories go way back to when my grandmother Alberta Eaton used to take us to the symphony. We used to attend church as a large family first and then make our way down town to see the Yuletide Celebration. From pulling up on the circle and walking into the crowded pavilion we always knew we were in for a great show. Alberta would always go out of her way and get us tickets up front close to the stage. As the show started us grandkids loved the sounds of the symphony while watching the christmas carol. Intermission was always the most anticipated moment. As a little child we loved the hot cider and large sugar cookies. Upon ending of the show, we always had dinner at the columbia club and ended sharing xmas stories of our own. The grandkids are not grown and having kids and families on their own. As I have been in and out of Indiana, I have tried to continue the family tradition with my closest family. The show is so classic to Indianapolis and enjoy how it stays true to its roots.
