Holiday Tradition

Thursday, November 4, 2010 by Everyone's a Critic
Our family has been to a show every season. We started out with me being 7 months pregnant and bringing our Moms and Dads. Through the years, our 3 kids had to "earn the right" to attend with us. They had to be able to sit through the performance without interrupting. Our tradition for Christmas always includes this night of dressing up, going out to dinner and then ending with Yuletide! It makes the season! I would have to say that our favorite memories are too many to count. Among those that would stand out would be: the puppet show (even though it now is much shorter). All of the various hosts. We love it when the hosts incorporate the craziness of the season with references to Indy. We love the Dancing Santas, the sing-a-long at the end, the way the music fills you up and brings tears to your eyes at times (because of its beauty of course). Another tradition is always the cookies and hot chocolate at intermission. We are so lucky this year to have my son and his girlfriend back from San Francisco to join us after 2 years of missing the show. We can't wait to sit back, enjoy the mastery of the performers and get in the holiday spirit. Thank-you so much for presenting this classic every year!
