My fondest memory of Yuletide is going as a whole family last year in 2009. My husband and I had gone to see the Yuletide show several years back and I cried most of the way through the show, thinking how I would love to be able to come back one day and bring the whole family. We have three boys and they all love music and dancing, but especially our youngest. The problem is that our youngest son has autism. Being in a public place with a lot of people and crowd noise is very troubling to him. We usually don't do many outings as a whole family because of this. We didn't know how he would handle being in the theater with so many people and a lot of background noise. It could have been very difficult for him, not to mention he could be very distracting to the other people around us. For that reason, we waited until he was older, and we finally took him and the rest of the family last year. To tell you the truth, I don't remember much about last years show. I think I spent the whole time just watching his face while he covered his ears to drown out the sounds around him and focus on the stage. He loved it and he made it all the way through the show. I cried through most of that show also, but they were happy tears. Thank You Yuletide. Kristen McCurdy
